The Saint Baudille (2785 ft)
Saint Baudille Mountain is the southernmost edge of the Larzac highlands. This limestone hill stay over an impressive geological serie of sediments deposited in a warm sea at the Jurassic era. Six million years ago, a general upwelling raised them up one miles high, creating the vast highlands surrounding French Massif Central. Larzac is the wider of all this "causses".
Underground, rainwater is still curving out innumerous caves and galleries, most of them still unknown for the moment. For example, the rain that disappears in the "avens" close Saint Baudille's broadcast tower are in communication with the wonderful network of Clamouse.
